Manitoba’s film and television industry has grown substantially over the last few years.
Through the Manitoba Film and Sound Recording Development Corporation (the only provincial funding agency of its kind in Canada), the Province of Manitoba offers loans and equity funding for the development and production of projects owned/co-owned by Manitoba producers and is also a full service film commission. Manitoban production companies have become experienced inter-provincial and international co-production partners; the province’s positive international reputation and appealing production incentives have attracted many to partner with Manitoba.
